Information Systems and Technology
Preface
In 2003, BBCI established the Information Systems and Technology Department, with an IBM thinkpad laptop, a wordprocessing and spreadsheet program. This platform was use to carry on the financial functions such as contribution management and the designing of tape labels for the bookstore ministry.
Now, BBCI’s Information Systems and Technology Department, has emerged into a power packed department using the latest technologies to assist the ministries and departments in developing processes and systems to carry out it's ministry and business functions.
What is Information Systems and Technology
Information System (IS) is a collection of methods, practices and activities that processes data into useful information using manual and/or automated processes.
Information Technology (IT) is "the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware”.
Information Systems and Technology at BBCI
The Information Systems and Technology Department at Bridge Builders Church International has been tasked to assist each ministry in:
- Creating practical methods or systems to accomplish the needs of the ministry.
- Determining the best technology to assist the ministry’s process.
- Developing user friendly applications that provide the appropriate results.
- Determining the best use of technology in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Information Systems & Technology Mission
Our mission is to develop an anointed information distribution center that will enhance the supernatural growth experienced by Bridge Builders Church International and Darius Crayton Ministries. By leaning not to our own understanding , hearing from God and obeying His Word, we will collect and distribute information that will assist each department in being creative in God’s vision for their prospective areas of ministry, which in the name of Jesus Christ the Anointed One and His Anointing, will guarantee Kingdom increase.
